How To Play Hide And Seek

There are a few things you need to know about my son: First, if he is going to do something, he is going to do it properly. Secondly, if he’s going to do something he’s going to win. Always.
Esme: 14, 16, 14, 16, 14, 16

Alfie: no, no, no you only count six

Keith: Alfie, Esme cant count as well as you yet. So you have to be patient and help her. Or why don't you count and Esme hides?

Alfie: Oh yeah. Yeah! ......... Esme, come with me and I'll show you where to hide.
I sometimes wonder what would happen if he and his father played a board game together. Do the basic principles of electrostatics apply to over competitive humans?
